Mirror/Organizer

LOVE this mirror/wall organizer Becki put together~!
Started with the top of a 2-tiered end table she took apart. She added the fun architectural piece to the top, attached a thick shelf piece I had, Mary found her 2 supports and the pegs from somewhere else-for under the shelf...painted it all white, distressed it, added a little stain. Then added a vintage frame that already had a great patina...Mary ordered mirror for it...and WOW!!! A charming piece for the back door off the kitchen...check yourself in the mirror as you go out, hang your hat or lunch bag on the pegs, throw your keys on the shelf~ and could it be more charming??? See it at Junk-Fest on June 18th!!!

Picnic Blanket

I just finished the Picnic Blanket to be given away as a Door Prize at Junk-Fest on Jne 18th at the Auction Barn in Gallatin Gateway, MT.

I used vintage and reproduction scraps, old buttons, a doily, the good end of a damaged dresser scarf, an embroidered corner of a damaged vintage tablecloth, (I had used the rest of it to make an apron,) and other cutter or scrap linens.

Picnic Blanket

Just finished the Picnic blanket for our Junk-Fest (June 18th) Door Prize~goes along with a shabby picnic basket and all the trimmin's!!!

I used scrap fabric-some vintage, some reproduction.
I attached a "pocket" with the end of an old dresser scarf-the other end was damaged.
I attached other cutter pieces and scraps, a small doily, buttons, some embroidery from the corner of an old tablecloth. (I had made an apron out of the rest of the tablecloth earlier!) And finally a section of belt I had saved of my daughters~ to tie it up with!

Over the I Top Hair Salon!

I have been IN LOVE with Capelli's Salon since I first walked in the door. Kim has such a big fun style not only with hairstyling (she's amazing!) but also with her decorating..she encorporates ANTIQUES!!!! Lots of FABRICS!!!!! And just about anything fun, funky and BIG!!!!!

I snapped a few pictures of the Salon today...a 2-story Warehouse...decorated to the NINES!

Easter Brunch Decor Ideas

The Junk-Fest girls had a fun breakfast meeting at my house on Friday. I wanted to share a couple of fun salvage ideas you could use for Easter!

The long white table centerpiece is one of a bunch of old chick feeders I had. A little paint, grass and eggs make a cute spread for Easter. I would also like to use a rusty one and fill it with mixed beans and small white candle/jars.

On the table I used a "natural" bunny atop some burlap, added a few nests, etc. for a charming "natural" look.

Finally, I found some $1 napkins at The Antique Barn, added random vintage clip-on earrings for an extra surprise! Another cute idea is to use your cloth napkins, but add a white vintage hanky or linen for some contrast-just put them together in the napkins rings..lovely!

Junk-Fest "Briefcase!"

Check out my funky JUNK-FEST "Breifcase!" Thank you Kelly H. for painting on it for me..you are the BEST!!!!! This was actually full of records when my mom bought it at an auction recently. I had been looking for a cute old something for my files to keep my Junk-Fest stuff organized...I immediately snatched this up from my mom..."That's my new briefcase!"
