Junk blocks

I love to spell things with old blocks, tiles, game pieces, etc. Here are my vintage toy blocks turned magnets!

Junk-Bird! Bird house!

Our cute little junk-birds live here! Made from scraps of barn wood, an old rusty piece of hardware (we added a little white paint to make it stand out) and a rusty old license plate for a roof! I would bet that if one were to look inside..these birds are hoarders! te he!

Our new addition! We acquired some Barber Shop chairs and other accessories from the Old Montana Barbershop in Great Falls, MT. So we built our own little barbershop in a booth at The Antique Barn! Not finished yet, but it's a start!

Outhouse door/Kitchen Table!

My hubby made this table from a door that was originally for an outhouse, he sanded it down, waxed it and made this gorgeous primitive table.

Old Barn Wood

We spent Mother's Day tearing down an old Horse Barn at my Uncle's place in Ryegate, MT. The kids had a great time on the farm, and playing in the Cousin's Club Treehouse. Then went to Grandma DeBuff's for a wonderful meal prepared by all the aunts. Here are some pictures of the small Barn, and then the wood, etc. on the trailer. It was a good, productive day!

This old Bucket Bench came in on a load from Minnesota. What a unique piece and such a cute color! It's on the workbench, and will be a GEM when it is done...I will post after pictures soon!

LOVE!!!! LOVE!!!! LOVE!!!! THESE CUTE JUNK WALL HANGERS MOM MADE YESTERDAY! SHE PAINTED LITTLE MATCHING FRAMES BLACK, THE BACKGROUND IS BURLAP, AND SHE ATTACHED SOME OF OUR FAVORITE RUSTY JUNK TREASURES! IN FACT I HAD TO CHASE HER AWAY FROM MY SECRET STASH OF RUSTY HARDWARE AND JUNK! WE DID FIND MANY NEW ONES IN A LOAD OF STUFF PURCHASED FROM A LOCAL DAIRY FARM.

LOOK FOR THESE AT JUNK-FEST JUNE 19!!!

Flour bin Laundry Bins

These are some of my favorite things..in my laundry room. Three salvaged Hoosier flour bins. Allen painted them...they are perfect for sorting laundry...darks, lights and reds! They would also be great for recycling-you could even put casters on them!

AFTER coffee table

Here it is!!! The auction dresser turned coffee table. Remember we removed one drawer, put shelves in it and hung it on the wall, it sold. Allen shortened the rest, used part of the left side to make a right side (there wasn't one at all) and made it into a coffee table.

I had this sitting up front of the Antique Barn yesterday, awaiting it's trip to my Junk-Fest storage unit, and two gals started measuring it, said it was perfect!!!! Better rush my goodies to the storage unit...this will be at Junk-Fest!

Salvaged windows on the wall!

JuNk cannisters!!!!

Check out my vintage tin cannisters I purchased at an auction...I added J U N K and a little stain...love it!!!! Oh, what could I possibly store in them? Again, look for these at Junk-Fest on June 19, 2010!

Bathroom Dollhouse!

I couldn't imagine what Kelly wanted this old dollhouse for....but now that I see what she did with it..I want one!!! Love the crackly paint, love the vignettes, all in an old dollhouse, hanging in the washroom, above the toilet. I will surely be snatching up any old wooden dollhouses I see!

New projects! Chair shelf.

My mom (Mary) had this really cute chair. However, it had NO seat! She hated to throw it out..with such unique details..she had my husband, (Allen) make it into a cute chair shelf!!! Love it! Sure looks good hanging in my office..but it will surely show up at Junk-Fest!

Junk-Fest here I come!

So...I bought this very well-loved dresser at an auction last year..as you can see it has NO right side! WAIT until you see this little treasure at JUNK-FEST!!!! You will want it! After pictures to follow soon!

Bedroom Set-Green

This great green bedroom set was headed to the dump! Some green paint and we have a cute little set up! Later found a chair...will upholster the seat...now it's adorable! The perfect start to a girls' bedroom!!!

Croquet Crazy

I found a great old Croquet set yesterday at the Thrift Store...I have not found an idea I really love yet...but there will surely be some "new" items at Junk-Fest created from an old Croquet set! I also found a great picnic basket, lots of metal hooks, numbers, etc. Before and After photos to follow!

New life for a hoosier/dough table

This hoosier/dough table was rescued by my dad! My hubby, Allen restored it to this wonderful piece you see here. It is 2 pieces, had a broken leg and the top/work area was pieced together old linoleum! I want it! So does Heather at the Antique Barn. Hopefully we will get to enjoy it for awhile, but it probably won't last long!
